NOTES

  1. The relationship between John Quayle & the Mylreas mentioned in this will is unknown
  2. It has always been assumed that Cath married John Mcylrea in 1680, and that he died soon afterwards. A John McYlrea of Michael perished at sea and the only record is an inventory of his goods
  3. The names of Cath Corjeag's offspring are, according to this will, Hugh & John. Hugh is mentioned in the LV 1717 " 1717 Oct Cottages OLD ENTRY Cath Corjeage {3 1/2d} NEW ENTRY Hu Mcylrea {3 1/2d} cu cetr The mother is dead and the son entered, reserving nevertheless the right of his brother if he be alive. Fine 6 3/4d."
